Procedure for preparing the control air system for operation
This procedure assumes that all valves are
initially closed and that air must be supplied from the operating air system.
a)
Make sure that the valves of
all control devices are open.
b)
Switch the valves as shown
in figure below.
Example of a control air system commissioning
procedure
a)
Open the individual
inlet valves for all control systems.
b)
Connect the control air
dryer.
NOTE: It will take some time for the full drying
effect to occur. Initially, release the supplied compressed air into the
atmosphere until dry, moisture-free air is available to the control air system.
The air control
system is now operational and ready for use.
