Overboard the water system is designed to supply the ship’s needs for onboard water. This water is mainly used to remove excess heat generated by the ship's machinery. For other (auxiliary) purposes, overboard water can be used for the stability (ballasting) of the ship, for leveling the heel or trim, for firefighting and for other technological or household needs. Therefore, the overboard water system can be divided into two parts according to its intended use: cooling (main) and auxiliary system. Which will pump for inland water from a common mains overboard water pipeline, in the case of our example, or other structures in overboard water systems from a Crossover Tank.
