a)         Press the “Program 0” softkey on the separator control panel. The sludge will be drained, and the separator will stop automatically. Oil will be automatically routed through a three-way valve to the selected oil tank, bypassing the separator.

b)        Shut off steam to the separator oil heater and allow it to cool.
c)         Stop the supply pump if it is running in manual mode. If it is in automatic mode, the pump will stop after 15 minutes (brake delay time is adjustable).
d)        Close the separator control air and operating water valves along with all other valves opened before starting.
e)         When the separator is completely stopped, the brake can be applied and, if necessary, prepared for dismantling and cleaning.
CAUTION. Do not attempt to release any part of the separator until its drum has stopped rotating. Check the drive belt sight glass for rotation. It may take up to 30 minutes for the drum to stop completely.
