The fuel feeding system, from the hopper tanks, prepares the fuel (depending on the viscosity of the fuel, it heats, cools, filters, removes gas, maintains the required fuel flow and pressure in the system), supplies it to combustion (oxidation) to service facilities such as:

✔  main and auxiliary engines;
✔  steam boiler;
✔  emergency generator diesel;
✔  and other on board combustion plants.

Unburned fuel (after cooling or heating by satellite steam tracing, if necessary) is returned to the fuel supply branch or to the daily tank. In the fuel supply system fuel consumption is operationally controlled by existing flow meters. With the help of this fuel supply system, it is possible to change the fuel burned from sulfur to low sulfur fuel and vice versa.
