An inhibitor is a substance intended for a cooling system that: maintains a constant pH of the water in the system within a range that maximizes the well-being of all metals; forms a film on the surface of metals that protects metals from corrosion; prevents the formation of solid limescale on the inner surfaces of pipes, heat exchangers and other expensive cooling system equipment.
