Preperation of the systems and machines
Completion requirements
Since successful
ships transportation depends on economic, continous, efficient, safe and
environmental operation of the systems and machines, today, to prepare the
ships systems and machines for operation, as presented in the table below, by means of
automation system, is important. Figure below represents a typical fuel oil
separator with components which should be prepared previously before starting.
Algorithms used to prepare ship systems and machinery for operation should
cover all the works and procedures in sequence that must be done before
commissioning. Therefore, a well-designed Engine Room Simulator should have the
capability and capacity to train Marine Engineers in preparing the systems and
machines correctly and safely for a voyage as soon as possible.
