Using the Diesel engine control panel represented with figure below, OOW decides for the work to be done according to the observations, analyzes and definitions made during his shift. The decisions made can be implemented directly through the remote automation system or applied using local controls. Either using remote or local application, necessary commands must sent the actuators to perform the necessary actions. The Engineer in charge of the shift must be sure that decisions made, were correct. OOW should also take into account other factors and parameters to make right decisions.
