Renewal survey for propulsion machinery includes function tests for alarm and safety system, manual control and remote control of propulsion machinery, testing of automatic control loops and transfer to standby manual control in the engine room in case of power supply failure to the remote-control system. If cancelling of automatic load reduction or shut down for propulsion engines is installed, the proper function shall be demonstrated.
