PT 7, Ch 9, Section 3.1.4 states that rate of turn indication needs to be present on the bridge. To satisfy this requirements, M/S MERSol is equipped with one rate of turn indicator (ROT). The ROT is connected to a distribution box, which is also connected to various other pieces of bridge equipment, such as the magnetic compass, gyro compass, conning display, radars, steering repeaters, GPS, etc.
