Preparation and operation of the sprinkler fire extinguishing system
Completion requirements
- The sprinkler fire-fighting system must switch on automatically when the temperature at the sprinkler sleeve rises to 68-79 ° C, i.e. to the temperature at which the melting sprinkler closure insert is calculated.
- Once a week it is necessary to inspect the water supply equipment of the sprinkler system, check the valve seals and the condition of the nozzles. It is necessary to install new sprinklers for the same temperature instead of the fired or unsuitable sprinklers.
- All system sprinklers must be clean and free of dust. They must be cleaned once a month.
- The sprinkler system must be checked once a week with compressed air.
- The pump supplying the sprinkler system must always be ready for operation.
- If the system is not used for a long time, it must be drained.
- The control and signalling equipment of the sprinkler sections must be checked by testing a false signal trap. This should be done at least 2 times a week.
- The system
must be activated at least once a year according to an alarm:
- to check the automatic pressure maintenance;
- to control the water level in the pneumatic hydraulic tank;
- to check the automatic start of the pump and compressor;
- to check the operation of the control and signal valves.
