Failures

The following main faults can occur in the starting air system:

• Failures of air compressors and their engines;
• Failures of air dryers and filters;
• Loss of tightness of air receivers, piping and their fittings;
• Faults in pressure, temperature sensors and switches;
• Faults in controls (solenoid actuators, electric motor starters, programmable logic controllers).
