Fire Safety Systems Code

it is a resolution of the Organization's Maritime Security Committee MSC.98(73) adopted the International Code, on fire protection systems, together with partial amendments, which may be made therein by the Organization, if these amendments are accepted, enter into force and come into operation in accordance with the provisions of Article VIII of the Convention concerning the procedures for amending the Annex (other than Chapter I thereof).

Flammable material

It refers to any material that is not non-combustible.

Flash point

is the temperature in degrees Celsius,in which a certain product, when tested in a closed crucible, emits a sufficient amount of flammable vapor to cause ignition; the flash point is determined by an approved device.
